Gamers 2037 – Opening Titles & SFX

The Gamers 2037 opening titles were a finalist at the Australian Effects and Animation Festival (AEAF) 2020 - Opening Titles section.

I designed and produced the award-nominated opening titles and loading sequences for Gamers 2037, an Australian children’s sci-fi series broadcast on 9Go! and TVNZ OnDemand. The concept imagined the players being “installed” into the digital world, a visual metaphor that set the tone for the series and immersed audiences in the high-stakes VAARG game.

Using Cinema 4D, Plexus, and Trapcode plug-ins, I developed the stylistic language that defined both the titles and the in-game transitions, combining motion graphics with 3D elements to create a distinctive, cinematic identity. Alongside this, I also contributed special effects for select episodes, enhancing the sense of continuity within the digital world and reinforcing the series’ futuristic narrative.

This project was an opportunity to merge advanced special effects techniques with storytelling, translating complex narrative themes into striking visuals while collaborating closely with producers, other designers and the post-production team to deliver broadcast-ready creative that resonated with young audiences.
